Web Player Not Working At All

Web Player Not Working At All

Web Player has been out of commission for months now. None of the buttons work at all. My friend has the same problem.

I have been having the same sort of problem for weeks now. Either nothing will load or I will get an error message telling me to reload just to get the same message. This is the second time in less than two weeks. Its ridiculous.

Greetings,

Can you confirm if you are running Spotify behind firewall?

Firewall can block the content of the webpage.

If you are not sure, you can follow this guide:

Open https://play.spotify.com

Run->CMD and execute the following command :

netstat -a -n | find ":1935" && netstat -a -n | find ":443"

For security reasons, you can remove the first column of the output and paste everything else here.

Does this command work for Mac?

Sorry, I didn't noticed that you are running on MAC.
Replace find with grep, like that

netstat -a -n | grep ":1935"
netstat -a -n | grep ":443

Sorry, I don't understand what to do. Could you guide me through step-by-step?

  1. Open https://play.spotify.com in your browser
  2. Run Terminal
  3. Execute the following command in the terminal :
netstat -a -n | grep ":1935" && netstat -a -n | grep ":443

  3. Copy the output and paste it here.

It exceeds the character limit.

Execute the follow commands one after the other.

netstat -a -n | grep ":1935" > 1935.txt
netstat -a -n | grep ":443 > 443.txt

This is going to create 2 separate files - 1935.txt and 443.txt.

You can send the contents of the 2 files via PM.

Edit 1 : Conclusion : Nothing is running on port 1935.
