Web Player in Chrome Pausing Intermittently (as if buffering)

Operating System: ChromeOS (v49)

Browser: Chrome 49

Flash: 21.0.0

JS enabled: Yes

Line speed: 5.7 Mbps (am able to steam youtube and vimeo in 720+ seamlessly)

I have noticed an issue that happens anywhere from 2 times a song to every 3rd song and am unable to uncover any obvious consistencies at the moment. The issue that occurs is that:

• Randomly, the music will pause (as if trying to buffer) then restart anywhere between 0.5 seconds and 10 seconds
• Sometimes the song will stop all together and it will start the next track
• Pause does not happen at a consistent point in a song (eg. after 20 seconds)

I have not experienced this issue using any other device so am confident it is confined to ChromeOS.

In order to resolve this issue I have so far:

• Logged out, Cleared Cache, Logged back in
• Signed out of all devices
• Tried incognito mode (seems to behave a little better to be honest - scrap that, whilst typing this it paused again)
• Closed all other browser tabs but Spotify

Some other points that I think may assist in the resolution of this include:

• Full wifi strength on a private internal network
• As inconsistent as the error is, it happens everytime I use the web player
• My music taste is pretty garbage but it happens to good and bad songs soooooo 

I am a little stumped as to what to try next so would like some official support in this.

It could very well be. I know there was an update to the web player right around the time I tried this. I noticed it because I used to go to player.spotify.com and it would stay there during and after the upgrade it ends up at play.spotify.com but some of my cached files had still pointed to some older locations.
