Why is widget is blacked out and cant find the app in the widget search bar

I recently updated Spotify today and noticed my Spotify widgets are blacked out but still open Spotify if i press them. When i try to look for the app Spotify to add a new widget of it the app doesnt show. Ive been looking for answers on this but none of the solutions have worked. I’ve tried logging out, turning off phone, then logging back in but it didnt work. Please help my aesthetic homescreen depends on it.

Try removing the app's cached data to see if that would make a difference. 

In case this doesn't help, we can install a completely fresh copy of the app by removing all Spotify-related data from the device.
To do so - follow the steps here.

Note: Performing either of these actions will remove any content downloaded for offline listening. It will re-download the next time you open the app, depending on your data settings.

Should the issue persist after going through the abovementioned steps, let us know what your device's make & model are, as well as its OS version and your Spotify app version.
