After the last update on 01.02.2018 Version 8.4.39.673 my Connect will not connect with my Reciever Pioneer anymore. It appears and I want to connect, but it does not do it. I never had any problems until this update. WLAN already checked, Reciever is compatible and everything is adjusted correctly, only that he does not establish a connection. About Blutooth is still in the car, but not at home on wifi. Please help me.
Hey @anett1910
Sorry to hear about this.
Spotify has made some server upgrades. Some receivers will need a firmware update to work again and get the latest version of Spotify. Other receivers will no longer be supported.
Check out this page for the latest information on Spotify for receivers:

I have the same problem.
The Pioneer XW-SMA is now too old, an I have to buy something newer to listen to my Spotify Premium Content?
Joseph
Yes, i have Premium.... anders Pionier VSX-923.
Can i The last update cancel??
Were you able to update the firmware?
What are you trying to cancel?
Do you mean the firmware of my Piononeer Reciever? No, because the latest is on it. He finds no newer.
I would like to uninstall Spotify from my phone and then download an older software from Spotify again so I have access again. Or is that not possible?
I would suggest to contact Pioneer and see what they say about it. It could be there is a newer firmware update sitll being developed and it hasn't been released yet.
The problem here is that Spotify made a server side change to the way Connect works to improve it for the future and it requries a new app. Pioneer will need to include the new app with a firmware update.
The phone app update doesn't have anything to do with it.
What was the update to your server? is it using a different port?
Or more an unsupported compression?
the port I might be able to hack..
I had not changed anything. no other port. apparently spotify no longer supports my Reciever. This is more than a pity and a reason to quit. I'm currently using Bluetooth, but that's just not the same. which server do you mean?
