listening to web player on Desktop problems

Does anyone know why when I start my spotify web player on my desktop, I cannot listen to it there, I have to listen to it on my cell phone?

Thanks for coming to the spotify community!

There's a quick thing to check to see where you are listening to spotify. In the bottom right hand corner of the webplayer there is a computer and speaker icon next to the volume bar. If you click on this you can see where you are listening to the music from and change it to web player.

Another option could be to download the spotify desktop app and listen to it that way.
