logging in to Spotify, message says "you're offline"

Solved!

logging in to Spotify, message says "you're offline"

I upgraded to a "new" "work" iPhone 14 . I had an older XR model).
Upon opening Spotify on my new work phone (App was transferred over at phone company office). Upon opening Spotify App, it asked me to sign in. I did (EM & PW) and no luck. Says: "your off line. check your cone..." I deleted App, wend to Apple store, downloaded new.
tried again, no luck. Spotify sent an email with LINK, Used LINK, still says to sign in and I still get same error message.
Note: I am able to access Spotify on my (2) existing devices 1-existing personal iPhone & my iPad. Issue: I can't sign in to open Spotify on my new work iPhone. Tried with VPM off, no luck. Rebooted new phone, no luck

Hi there @26325322,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Just to check, are you able to log in and then you get that message? Or do you get the message as soon as you open the app?

On another note, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? If you've been using WiFi, you can try with mobile data or vice versa.

Lastly, try going to the Web Player from that device and let us know if it works or if you see any error messages.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

I tried to use different WIFI (hot spot vie phone) and initially received same error upon login at App.

I was able to sign-in when accessing Spotify from web, signed in, this opened Spotify, just no access to my playlists this way.

Tried (2) more time.  LINK to Spotify from emial did not work.

Then another try and finally was able to sign in and open Spotify and see my content & play lists.

Must hav ebeen Apple trying to block me form Spotify 🙂

Thank you for the reply and follow-up help.

Hi!

I had the same problem and I even couldn´t even open in the web. It said its not a secure connection. But I found out that i was using VPN. I closed it and now I can open the Spotify app on my mobile!
