Welcome to the Spotify Community. We hope you don't mind us moving your thread to the Help boards as its content fits better here. 

Just to confirm, do you have a Premium subscription? Keep in mind that downloading offline music is a Premium feature. Users in the free service can only download podcasts.

That being said, Spotify uses the available storage in your device to host the downloaded content. We advise to have at least 1GB free of space in your device. You can find more info about offline listening here. 

If you're having issues downloading content despite having available space, send us the make, model and OS of your device along the Spotify version you use. If you can include a screenshoot of the error you get, it'd be helpful as well.
