"Fans also like" section missing on mobile devices

Hey folks, 

We've received some reports that the "Fans also like" section is missing under Artists' profile pages. The issue seems to be affecting both iOS and Android users.

This is being investigated.

Any updates on this Spotify? I pay for premium but will most likely cancel if this bug/update/whatever you want to call this blunder isn’t addressed/fixed. Allowing this vital feature to only be available to a select number of people is bad business.

I am having the same issue. I have deleted the app from my phone, restored my phone, and everything else customer service suggested I do. They offered that I make a new account but I don’t want to lose my username. I can see ‘fans also like’ when I log into an account on my friends phone, and when they log into their account on my phone. I tried deleting the app from my phone for 24+ hours to see if that reset anything. I deleted the backup off my iCloud, still nothing is seeming to work to get the feature back.

They really need to fix this, it's a key feature and there is no reason for it to go away for some and not others.  It's clearly a bug.

The problem I'm assuming is that it is a big enough bug with a small enough number of people being affected that they don't want to deal with it..... Pathetic.

 @Novy Two weeks now since this was first reported. Can we please have an official update from someone at Spotify?

I can confirm @tfowl 's suggestion, Spotify 8.8.18.509 (Android) is working and brings back "Fans also like". While this is a workaround, I would still like to have an official solution to this problem.

It is really ridicolous what @Whystine got to hear from support and posted yesterday, Spotify is "trying things" and "testing out features" ... this is an annoying bug and nothing more.

This is not a helpful response. I pay for premium service and am not receiving premium service though the mobile apps. 

Can you understand that we can see it when logged in on a web browser or through a desktop app just not on the mobile app? FIX THIS SO WE CAN HAVE THE FUNCTIONALITY THAT WE PAY FOR!!!!

@NovyI'm sorry but I don't get what you are trying to describe. While I understand that new features are tested with a bunch of customers - we are doing the same - I don't understand what exactly is being tested here. No functionality has been added but something has been taken away. Or can you enlighten us which new feature we maybe do not recognize as such?

I realize this change wasn’t your call but this is a bad change. Not having the “fans also like” section does not improve the app, it impairs it. It makes it very difficult to discover new artists. Bring back “fans also like”.

If you people are testing how to get me to switch to Apple Music then you can stop, you hit gold. No Hi-Fi but let's take away functionality, that's a good choice. This is ridiculous, as soon as my sub runs out Im switching.

Not only is this a terrible response, it's also pathetic that you deleted my comment on a temporary solution. 

Download an older APK file on Android if you want this feature to come back.

Apple Music or literally any other platform. That's because it isn't a "feature", it's an essential function of any serious music service.

Spotify's interface is bogged down with redundant fluff but they take this away? It's honestly baffling. Come on now.

That's the thing, they didn't actually take it away. It's an obvious glitch that's affecting some of us with our log ins on the apps for smartphones or tablets (since we can see it with our log ins on a browser or desktop app)

BUT, it is affecting such a small group of us that @spotify doesn't want to do anything about it. POOR customer service. They don't care about us and this is proving it.

Will Spotify be offering refunds to premium subscribers affected by this “test”? We pay for a service and are not receiving it in full.
