"Go ad free with Spotify Premium!" is a lie for Spotify exclusive podcast listeners.

Podcasts that are only available on Spotify have standalone (not pre-recorded in the audio file) ads where it switches tracks for an ad, then switches back. This should NOT happen for people who pay for premium. What are we paying for with premium if we're still getting ads? The ability to move the slider to "skip" the ad we're paying to not hear in the first place? Come on.

Get ready for all the support reps to consistently lie to you about this subject. They'll tell you these ads were placed by the podcast creators and it's out of the company's control, despite the fact that they are in fact placed solely by Spotify who has complete control over forcing you to listen to these ads. Search this forum, there's endless posts on the subject where they do this. Don't let them gaslight you and don't waste your time with their lies. Please report them to the FTC for false advertising at reportfraud.ftc.gov
