Can I purchase a family plan for someone else?

It's my girlfriend's twin's sweet 16 this weekend and I would like to share the gift of music with their family.  Can I purchase a family plan for them (as I do not live at their address I would not be included in the plan)?

SOLVED: I spoke with Julius A., a representative from Spotify's chat.  Basically you can't just "gift" someone with a Spotify subscription, you have to log into THEIR account and purchase it for them, which kind of defeats the surprise factor but it is what it is. 

It will be reoccurring payments so you can't specify a certain number of months you want it to last (say you wanted to buy them three months worth of subscription) so you'll have to manually go in and cancel the subscription when/if necessary.
