Cannot accept address change in order to join family plan

My Question or Issue

Bought the family plan but my son who used to have a student account in UK and later continued to pay the normal fee but didn't change address, is not allowed to change his address back to home. He no longer lives in the UK and he tried to change address back to our country but it is denied. He still has an active personal account. Should he cancel this first? How can we manage to join the family account without making new account? That's not an option btw, because if this is the solution I'd rather cancel the plan.

Hey @Andreasy,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

You mentioned that your son has an active account, does that mean that he still has active Premium subscription? If that's the case he needs to cancel the subscription following the steps in this article, then he needs to wait for his Premium to end and his account will revert to free. After that he can go to his account page and change the country.

You can find more info on how to invite him later here.

Take a look at this page as you might find useful information there as well!

He cancelled it already but he is asked to pay again in order to allow country change. Message=country change will be available at next bill. Something like this

Hey @Andreasy,

Thanks for your reply.

The country settings can be updated either directly on the profile page or by entering a payment method that was issued in the new country. The first method however is only available when the account is on free, so your son will need to wait for the Premium time to expire (the exact date is shown on the account overview page).

We hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions.

Take care,
