My Question or Issue

I have a relative who has a Free Spotify account and joined my Family Plan while living with me for a whole year. They have since moved out of the country and have another relative who has their own Family Plan. I removed the relative from my Family Plan, thus reverting it to Free. However, they were not able to join the other Family Plan even though they live in the same house. They got the error ‘not in the same country’. Mind you, when the account was removed from my Family Plan, they had already updated to the correct country/region while ‘Free’. Is there a downtime to swap Family Plans or any other reasons? They live under the same roof.

If the correct address is indeed listed, please check the period of time of which your relative tried to transfer between plans - members can only switch Family plans once a year.

Actually, what resolved it was a 24-hour cycle. My relative tried and couldn't join so I told them perhaps to wait until the next day, maybe the servers refresh then and turns out I was right. The next day, when they joined the new family plan, it worked. So, apart from just the one family plan per year, it turns out that it takes a day to move from one to the other, especially if they changed countries.
