Family members can't log in with family invite

Family members can't log in with family invite

Hi, I've been a Spotify member for years, finally got sick of my daughter kicking me off when I'm on my way to work. I upgraded to family and sent out invites to my wife and daughter. The invitation process is confusing. When they follow the invite instructions they are asked to login. Does that mean on my account name, or using their own emails? If they log in on my account it's the same as it ever was; we can't listen to different things on our devices. However, when they try to login using the email addresses that the invite was sent to nothing happens. This is really not a clear cut process at all and I'm getting frustrated trying to figure it out. I upgraded the plan two weeks ago and still can't get it to work. Has anyone else faced something like this when upgrading?

Hey @dadurkin,

 

On the login page, all family members need to log into their own accounts. They'll then be able to accept the invites.

 

Family members who don't have a Spotify account need to create one first: https://spotify.com/signup.

So, my daughter created an account, but it is just a standard account, not premium. Spotify is asking her for credit card info to upgrade to premium...really frustrating to do this as it has been a two week struggle to do what should take less than 2 minutes.

That's odd. She shouldn't be asked for any payment info when she's logged into her account and clicks on the invitation link that was sent via Email.


Can you tell her to click the link again?
