My Question or Issue

Hello,

I was just reading a few posts but I want to address this problem right here.

After upgrading to premium family playback on different devices with one account simultaneously is still not possible.

My daughter is just 4 years old and listening on the Sonos Play:3. The Sonos Play:3 is connected to Spotify since I played some music over Spotify and connected it to the Sonos. Since then everbody with the Sonos App (my wife) is able to playback music or stories for the kids.

I thought upgrading would be a good solution so we do not need to change anything but currently I´m really disappointed.

What is the intention behind this concept of multiple accounts? I mean, do I really have to create a separate account with its own e-mail address for my Sonos device just to be able to playback simultaneously? Is it really that complicated? Or is there any other solution for this?

I thought by just upgrading the problem would be solved. I mean with other video streaming platforms this is no problem.

Thanks,

P1ll3

Hello @P1ll3,

Thanks for reaching out here and welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties setting up your Premium Family plan at your home. We'd love to help you enjoy Spotify together with your family!

Keep in mind that all members of the plan need to have their own personal account, so you don't interrupt each others playback. For full info on how to add family members to your plan, we suggest checking out this Spotify Answer.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
