Why is my Premium Family organizer unliking my songs?

Why is my Premium Family organizer unliking my songs?

I like a song on my playlist, say Lavender Haze by Taylor swift. Album: Midnights. Later, I check back on the playlist. That same song has no more heart widget. My dad, who pays for the plan, says when he finds songs he doesn’t like in his Spotify he unlikes them. What do I do??

Heyo LasAnya, so if the heart widget is no longer showing up on a song in your playlist, it may be that the song was accidentally removed from your Liked Songs or that someone with access to your account removed it intentionally. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Search for the song in your Liked Songs library by going to "Your Library" and selecting "Liked Songs" from the options. If the song is still in your Liked Songs, it means that it was not removed from your account.

  2. Check if the song is still available on Spotify by searching for it. If the song is still available on Spotify, it may be that the song was removed from your playlist by accident.

  3. Check with anyone else who has access to your Spotify account to see if they removed the song. If someone else removed the song, they may be able to explain why they did so and you can discuss adding it back to your playlist.

  4. If you are still unable to determine why the song was removed, you can try adding it back to your playlist by searching for it and clicking the "Add to Playlist" button. If the song is no longer available on Spotify, you will not be able to add it back to your playlist.

I'd also recommend saving the songs you enjoy to a playlist instead of liking them so dad won't have to throw your songs out of the "Liked Songs" playlist if he uses that regularly.

Best regards,

Not quite what I mean. It’s still on my playlist and still available on Spotify, but not in my liked songs. I have to re-like it, which ruins the thing where it tells you when you liked a song. And I know nobody else has access to my account.
Do you have a solution?

Well wishes,
-LasAnya

Hey @LasAnya,

Thanks for your reply.

We're a bit confused since you mentioned in your initial post that your dad removes songs he doesn't like when he sees them. Considering that members of a Premium Family plan don't have access to each other's Liked songs playlists, we'd suggest double-checking with him and making sure he's not using your account by accident.

If you're sure that's not the case, please give us a few more examples of tracks you've had to re-add so we can investigate further.

Keep us posted!
