Not Eligible for Student Discount

Not Eligible for Student Discount

I've recieved emails about the 99c for three months Student discount deal that comes with Hulu and Showtime, so I decided to try it out. I set up my account with SheerID and got sucessfully verified, but when I put in my payment details it said I wasn't eligible since I had taken a discount before. Am I just completely ineligible for the student discount even though I'm a student?

Hope you’re doing great!

 

Unfortunately, if you’ve already used this discount, your ineligible for this offer. Please make sure of the following:  

  • You haven’t already claimed the discount on another Spotify account. Find other accounts.
  • Your school is listed. If you didn’t see your school in the list during sign up, we're afraid you're not eligble right now. 
  • You haven’t exceeded the 4-year limit. The discount lasts 12 months at a time, with the option to renew a maximum of 3 times as long as you're eligible. After 4 years, you're no longer eligible.

I've never used a student discount before, the only discount I've ever used was a summer discount nearly a year or two ago.

In this case, could you try this using another browser or incognito mode?

 

If that doesn’t help, could you send me a screenshot of the error message being shown? Please hide sensitive info when posting to the community.

 

Plus, does trying another payment method help?

IveI tried several different browsers and I'll try to get you the screenshot when I can but I don't have much in the way of other payment options at the time, I could try to set up a PayPal and see if that works but as for now all I've got is the one card.

Yes, I’d recommend using PayPal to see if that makes a difference. If that doesn’t help, still send me the screenshot of the error message you encounter 🙂
