Student Premium Discount available only with credit card

TL:DR; 

Can you please answer these questions?

1. What is the reason for not supporting Ideal or Paypal for student premium, although Spotify is making use of this service for other forms premium accounts?
2. Does Spotify intend to bring in Ideal or Paypal for student premium? If yes, when can we expect this?

Hi,

I am posting this question because I see no proper answer localized for Netherlands.

Like many students, I also thought of making a switch to student premium! But turns out, spotify doesn't recognise that not all students have access to credit cards.

It is nice that there is a discount for students. But there is no point of having such a discount if the payment system does not support the most favoured payment method of students!

Sadly, I have only read or seen Spotify stating that there is no other way but using credit card. But no comments on future plans or when/if they actually plan to bring other forms of payment for students.

How hard can it be to make this available for student premium, when you are already using other payment methods for normal premium subscription?!

It would be a shame if nothing can be done about this.

Unfortunately, that's just how it is at the moment. Not all payment methods are available for the Student Discount.

Spotify doesn't comment on things that aren't live yet. The only thing you can do is check the Student Discount Payment Methods page from time to time, maybe it'll have some new payment methods in the future.
