My Question or Issue

I re-verified my student status, but while logging in to Spotify, I used my phone number to login. I forgot that my phone number is not linked to my main account, and I logged into a different account through my number.

 

My main account is linked to an email address, and I would like to move the student verification to that account. I am the owner of the aforementioned phone number and email address.

 

I tried changing the email on my phone number account, but "Email is already taken" pops up. Tried to re-verify my student status on the email account, but SheerID won't allow it.

 

Any help here is really appreciated. May be how to merge the accounts? Or revoke student status on the phone number account, and re-verify the email account? I am not sure. Please help!

Hiya FlyingPanda23, sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Spotify accounts. Unfortunately, merging two separate Spotify accounts is not possible. However, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Contact Spotify customer support: You can contact Spotify customer support and explain the situation. They may be able to assist you in revoking the student status on the account associated with your phone number and help you re-verify your student status on the email account.

  2. Remove your phone number from the account: If your phone number is associated with the wrong account, you can remove it from that account by following these steps:

    • Log in to the account associated with your phone number
    • Go to your account page and select "Edit Profile"
    • Click on "Remove" next to your phone number
    • Save your changes

    After removing your phone number from the account, you can re-verify your student status on your main account.

  3. Absolute last resort… Cancel your student subscription and sign up again: If the above steps don't work, you can cancel your current student subscription on the account associated with your phone number and sign up for a new student subscription on your main account. To cancel your subscription, follow these steps:

    • Log in to the account associated with your phone number
    • Go to your account page and select "Subscription"
    • Click on "Cancel Subscription"
    • Follow the instructions to cancel your subscription

    After canceling your subscription, sign up for a new student subscription on your main account.
