Garnier advert ruining experience

The current Garnier hair mask ad starts by saying something along the lines of "we need to talk about your hair, it looks dull".

Not the nicest advert in the first place but hearing it every 30 minutes is really starting to bring me down.

Submitting feedback brought me here so not sure what else to do, any suggestions?

Defo had some annoying adverts in my time, too! Usually (I've found) that whenever I've had a free account then premium for one month then back to free again, the adverts are completely different to before. So I'm thinking that the ads must change once a month, if that makes sense. Hopefully it'll go away soon! There might be an ad personalisation function in Settings but I haven't checked.

Hi! I'm sorry to hear that this ad is bringing you down. Body image stuff is super hard. If you haven't already, I recommend reporting the ad here. Moderators have said that reports from that thread get passed on to the ads team regularly.

In the meantime, maybe you could use that ad as a signal do a body neutrality or positivity affirmation every time it comes on. Saying something like "I accept my hair exactly as it is right now." or "My worth doesn't depend on how my hair looks." every time you hear the ad could help counteract the impact it's having on you.
