Offline Apple Watch playback ultimatum

Hey there,

I’ve seen the several years worth of people clamoring for an update to enable offline playback on Apple Watch, including a reply in September that provided no real additional information. As a loyal customer for several years, I have no desire to switch to Apple Music. But as the owner of a new and expensive smart watch, I cannot continue with Spotify unless this basic functionality is added. 

So, here’s the ultimatum: Apple Music allows a three month free trial. I’m going to use them exclusively for running playlists during that time. If there isn’t an offline-enabled, no-iPhone-required Apple Watch app by September, I’m ending my account with Spotify and making the switch.

Good news!

Spotify now supports downloads and cellular streaming on Apple Watch. This will be rolling out over the next several weeks.

lol this app never works and still no fix…

Playlists download remove themselves daily, need to download every morning before running and scream in frustration for 20 minutes as it fails and need to tru again. Then need to disconnect wifi/cellular on phone, then on watch. And repeat this process every morning as the minute I reconnect to the network the downloads remove. WHAT A JOKE OF A SOLUTION FIX THIS
