Ongoing Artificial streaming tactics

Ongoing Artificial streaming tactics

So from weeks I've been noticing a group of people, really hard at work, trying to boost numbers for their artist by trying to manipulate the platform( and they are successfully doing it btw) I got a glimpse into it on X platform where they sort of plan everything and I've been trying to ask customer service about it but it never panned out.

So there are certain rules to be in this community called @BPSPOTIFYSCHOOL

First being that you can't share about it outside much, specially no screenshots of playlists, accounts or anything, they're really sneaky and careful.

Second you regularly have to send "proof" of your participation or you'll be kicked out.

The playlist comes with a warning of no link sharing or screenshots of the playlist to avoid getting caught. The user who posts links changes their name daily, makes one playlist per day and deletes it the next day. Every step is so calculated.

So around 2k people and gaining more per day, are trying this method called looping, where they play one song for like 16 hours straight. They use multiple devices, mostly PCs because it's easy to handle multiple tabs there. So they use multiple accounts from one device through the same IP ofcourse to stream the playlist. There's a new playlist everyday, but the playlist is basically same, with one song being added gazillion times for 8 -16 hours straight.

I'm flabbergasted to see the lengths these fans are ready to go to get an achievement for their artist and all that by gaming and manipulating the charts. And I'm much more surprised that spotify hasn't shadowbanned these artist profiles or the streams that are mostly what we call bot streams which are coming from these suspicious accounts.

What use is your achievement when you got it through fraud ways? It's basically not real and you are just proving that you don't have the ethics or the ability to prove yourself through talent alone.

The song that I'm observing right now is HOW YOU LIKE THAT by BLACKPINK because it's getting really suspicious amounts of streams suddenly and the funniest giveaway was that it wasn't charting anywhere despite it's millions of streams. An old song with such suspicious activities is bound to make one curious because it's been happening for weeks and spotify has no idea? Or they refuse to look into it because of some kind of internal foul play?

Not surprisingly, this community has done it before and gotten away with it; With MONEY by LISA that had more than 50% of filtered streams got 1 billion plaque recently, it was so bizzare seeing the real streams being 500 million only.

I don't know if I should praise or laugh or be disappointed at these tactics because on one side I understand the fan culture but on the other side these obsessive cheat methods are what ruining today's music and music industry.

And I'm failing to see why spotify is not moving against it?

I've talked about it with customer support hundreds of times but I've got nothing, they cut off the conversation and just move on.

I need answers about this because how is that thousands of people are gaming your charts and how is it that spotify isnt doing anything about it from months and months?

Lol keep jealous of someone success out of all u only saw blackpink 🤣🤣 i know u are army lol armys stream are also fake and bot. Just because how u like that was close to 1billion that's why people were streaming for it. Stay jealous armpits

I get it, regardless of what fandom, cheating for the only purpose of of making ur idol have more stream numbers is ridiculous,  because instead of the song to spread and get know to people gradually,  it is stuck with the same group of people, no wounder kpop isn't taking  seriously.  Alot of streams doesn't mean good song .
