You know what, I just woke up and thought about that trait of Spotify, and you just came along and wrote exactly what I am thinking.

Spotify needs to stop playing with its costumers, I am 7 years a grateful customer and those kind of things always brings me back again to the forums with a big "what the f*" kind of sense.

Is there any mod over here to elaborate?

Thanks.

Hello! 🙂
I miss this feature too!
Has a member of the Spotify team already elaborated on this issue?

Is there a way to make it noticeable? Throughout the web I see that request popping many times.

I do not know how it was before, but now all new tracks from performers are displayed in the playlist release radar

Which gets updated once in a week i think?
The release lightning showed a blue dot next to it the moment an artist releases a new song.
And, unlike the Release Radar Playlist, it listed EVERY new song, sometimes whole albums.
That way you didn't miss a single new release of the artists you are following.
But now, with the lightning feature gone, it feels kinda useless to follow artists at all.

A shame, really.

Still no reply, what a joke!
Shame that I can't threaten them to cancel my suscription, because I never paid a penny for their service.
And I'm pretty sure I never will.

In the meantime a lot of bands release new material which we will never see due thanks to shitty Spotify sticking to the shitty Radar playlist.

Thanks for nothing, as nothing I gladly return to you.

Hey @iMaurice  @Shoshanna  @ost_4k

This lightning icon that showed new releases was a feature in testing and is not a feature that has been generally released.

Spotify is always testing new features so sometimes the app might change.

You can read more in this help article:

Why has the app changed?

I recommend using a third party app to stay updated with new releases from artists that you follow, you just login with your Spotify account.
