Extension request help

Extension request help

Hi Spotify Community, I submitted a Scope Extension request for my Spotify app on February 27, but I haven't heard back yet.

My app, "TicketBird" (Client ID: 827aa6f068dc47fdb2a426b22a2ed14f), utilizes Spotify's API to allow Spotify Premium users to play music through Spotify on our app. A similar app is Stationhead. Since we're implementing functionality similar to what's available on Stationhead, I believe there shouldn't be policy issues, and this feature could contribute to Spotify's growth and your ecosystem.

I understand the review can take some time, but I wanted to check if this waiting period is normal or if I might have missed any communication. If there's anything else I should do or any information I should provide to help move the review along, please let me know. Thank you!

Dude it takes like 6 months for some people. You gotta wait 2 months at minimum.

Thank you for the reply, WinterMelon. Since there's no direct support channel, I was hoping staff might see my post here - I just couldn't sit still waiting!

I appreciate the reality check about the timeline. It's definitely nerve-wracking being stuck in the middle of app development, but it helps to know this waiting period is normal. I'll try to be patient for at least 2 months, though 6 months sounds quite challenging.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your insight - it's really helpful to have some perspective from the community!

Nah G you crazy if you think the staff care 😂😂

Be prepared for a rejection so that if it does happen it's not surprising, and make sure that your app or service or whatever doesn't completely rely on this API because going back and forth with these guys can take a year for some people.

Good luck man!

Good luck is needed indeed. I just got my 4th rejection last week. I started this process June 1st of last year and my app has been in limbo since. They don't answer emails and def are not checking posts on here. You just gotta re-submit and cross your fingers for another 2 - 4 months. Only advice I got is read the Dev Terms and ToS front to back. They will reject it for even the smallest thing.
