The Web Playback SDK seems to no longer work on Android.

Solved!

The Web Playback SDK seems to no longer work on Android.

I am a Spotify Premium user.

I developed a web app in Angular that was working perfectly until now. This web app uses the Web Playback SDK, which also worked flawlessly. It had been some time since I last tested my web app, and upon logging in today, I noticed that it no longer works on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S22) using the Chrome or Brave browser. I get the following error message in the console:

index.js:3 It is recommended that a robustness level be specified. Not specifying the robustness level could result in unexpected behavior.
index.js:3 Uncaught (in promise) EMEError: Unable to set L1 security level.
    at new t (index.js:3:351507)
    at t.fatal (index.js:3:351757)
    at index.js:3:194353

I don’t understand why I am encountering this error, as everything was working fine until now, and it still works on a computer or an iPhone. Could this be an Android-specific issue?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I finally found the cause of my issue. My phone had switched to Widevine DRM Level 3. I updated my phone, and everything is back to normal.
