My Question or Issue

We've developed an iOS app that integrates with the Spotify API and have completed our development work. We're now trying to move from Developer Mode to Production Mode for our Spotify API integration, but we've encountered a roadblock.

When submitting our request to change our account status, Spotify has asked to test our app before approving. However, being an iOS-only application, we face challenges in providing access:

  1. We can share our app via TestFlight, but this requires knowing the tester's email address
  2. We can provide a Diawi link, but this requires the device UDID

We've explained these limitations in our submission description two weeks ago but haven't received any response from the Spotify team.

Could someone from Spotify please advise us on the best way to provide access for testing our iOS app? Or could you suggest an alternative solution to move our app from Developer Mode to Production?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hi @Sarika121

Thank you for posting in the Spotify Community, and Welcome!

When you are requesting a quota extension, you can fill in credentials to a free demo/test account at page 3. So, if you make a test account, invite it to test your app, you can fill in its credentials there.

Additionally, TestFlight may expire before they can test your app. So, keep an eye on that.

I hope this help. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
