Account Issues: gifting premium and existing premium account

I have been a premium member for years. Last night I tried to gift a premium subscription for my dad. I received an error saying there was a problem with my credit card so I tried a different card. I got the same error again. I called my bank and they said my card was fine and they didn't see where Spotify was even attempting to run it. I chatted with Spotify support for 20 minutes, and ultimately they gave me a code for a free month of prime for my dad and said to wait two weeks to try gifting the subscription. Fine. Imagine how upset I was to find out my prime account had somehow been switched to free. Despite the fact that my credit card was charged last week for my premium account. I am livid! I paid to not hear ads. I tried paying Spotify $120 to gift another premium account and the best they could do was tell me to wait 2 weeks and meanwhile turned off my already existing premium. Adding insult to injury I can't call to talk through it with someone so here I am typing this diatribe on my phone.
