Being charged twice per month for premium

hi,

 

I’m raising this here as I’ve not had an enjoyable time contacting Spotify and apple for a resolution and can see that others in my situation have had success through this channel.

 

im being charged 9.99 by Spotify and 12.99 by apple for the premium service per month. The apple payment started in October 19 and I’ve just cancelled. When I spoke with Spotify, I was directed to apple. Having spoken to 3 people from apple who passed on the buck each time with email templates, and being sent a number to call as a final resolution which simply directs you to their FAQs then hangs up, I’m very frustrated. 

it is completely misleading that signing on twice bills you twice for the same email address so desperate to find a way to get refunded for those 7 months.

 

i appreciate the support and otherwise love Spotify.

Hey there @AlecJD! - Glad to hear about your Spotify love! 💚

With regards to your Apple payments - Spotify Support are not able to in this case stop the payments as this is handled by Apple through their In App Purchasing system which is ran through the App Store. I'd recommend heading back to them and asking to speak to a member of their 'Leadership Team' or a 'Senior Advisor' (which is their version of a manager) - they'll be able to refund the charges their end.

 

If you need, you can view the payments which were charged by Spotify and they took these payments using your payment method on your account through the receipts section of your account here.
