Change location/country settings

Hi,

I was suddenly asked by Spotify to change my location to my current one (UK) maybe because I am staying here for more than 2 months now. However, I set up my account and is subscribed to premium in my home country (PH). How should I check that my subscription in PH has now ended? Since I cannot see it in my current account as I now changed it to UK. I wanted to make sure that before subscribing to Spotify here in UK, my PH premium subscription is not being charged anymore to my PH credit card.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

You can change your country setting by following the steps outlined in this support article. You can do this even if you’re not currently in the country listed on your account, and there’s no need to create a new account—just update your country setting to where you are now.

 

Once that’s done, you can double-check your account details by visiting https://spotify.com/account. This will show whether your account is on Free or one of the Premium plans. Since you’re unable to log into the app due to a country mismatch, it’s likely your account is currently on the Free plan.
