Does premium subscription automatically cancel when join family plan

My son was on premium individual plan and we invited him to join the family plan, does his individual plan automatically cancel. Or how do we cancel his subscription, will that effect his playlists?

Hi there,

 

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

 

If your son was subscribed to Premium Individual before accepting the invite to your Premium Family plan, his Premium Individual subscription plan is automatically canceled upon joining Premium Family. And as long as he joined your Premium Family plan using his same Spotify account, he should keep all of his playlists, saved music, and settings as a member of the new plan.

 

The billing also switches automatically for Spotify users who already have a Premium Individual subscription and then join a Premium Family plan; after accepting the invite to join your Premium Family plan, all payments are made by the Premium Family plan manager.
