Hello,
I live in Canada and I just created a brand new account. I want to subscribe to 'Premium Individual' however when I try to do so on Spotify Canada by clicking on the 'Get Started' button, I receive the following message:
"Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium."
I have tried many of the suggestions I have seen on various forums including the following:
- Trying on an Incognito window
- Trying on a different device on different network (LTE)
- Creating a different account with a new email and trying again
None of these have worked. I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, are you using a VPN? Are your account country/region settings correct? Could you send me a screenshot of what you see, when trying to start a Premium subscription? Just make sure to not share any sensitive information, please.

Thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it!
As far as I know, I am not using a VPN. I have tried to purchase Premium on 3 different devices and I don't think any of them are using VPNs so I had kind of come to the conclusion that this was not the root of my problem.
Here is a screenshot of the error message (yellow) that I get if I try pressing on the "Get Started" button for the 'Individual' option:
One thing that may be important for you to know is that this error message only pops up if I try on Spotify Canada. If I try on Spotify US, it lets me start the process but when I get to the address part, I obviously cannot complete it since only US addresses can be entered.
Let me know if you need me to provide more info. I'm hoping the resolution of the screenshot is good enough, I can try again if it is not.

I tried using the link Eni gave me except instead of using a normal window on my computer, I used the 'Private Browsing Mode' on Safari on my iPhone. It still gave me the same error message as I've been getting all along. Any other suggestions?

Hi, I also have this difficulty. Whenever I try to buy premium duo, it says that I'm not eligible for this plan as well as select another one that would be more convenient. Hence, whatever I pick nothing works and the same error message comes up. I live in Canada, haven't bought any premium plans yet, and don't have any VPN installed. I tried going on different devices and using incognito mode but no amelioration.
