My Question or Issue

So I've been getting an ad for motley crue at startup.

I do not pay for spotify to get any kind of ads (or unsolicited recommendations for that matter)

I just want play the music I choose from my own lists and really nothing else.

- I would be grateful if you could select a certain list as startup. Now there are too many clicks to start playing anything.

I know this is probably not in your business model but still... There are probably better alternatives out there.

The ad you're referring to be hidden by clicking on Hide.

Did these ads start appearing for you after an upgrade or after changing plans?

Also, could you try to log in to the same account on another device (preferably a desktop) and if you still get ads there?

Haven't changed plan in years (been premium almost since the beginning)
Are you saying that I shouldn't see those ads?

Could you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing so I can take a closer look? Please make sure that no private/sensitive info is displayed.

Does this happen on your Android app or other devices as well?

As for the option to select a certain playlist upon startup, I'd recommend adding your +VOTE and feedback to this idea here. It'd also be great to check out this for more info on how the Ideas Exchange works.
