Help! Should I get a refund or wait for Spotify's response?

So I've been using Spotify monthly premium since last year, and I wanted to upgrade to a yearly subscription

What I did:

1. I bought and paid for the yearly premium (i didn't cancel the monthly premium)

2. I check my current subscription status and found out the message that I will still be charged for the monthly price, I couldn't find the yearly premium status

3. I then canceled the monthly premium plan, but now it is written that I have no premium subscriptions, only the Spotify free!

So I'm still confused about whether or not I am still a premium member, because I haven't received any refund yet. Should I apply for a refund or any idea on how to get my premium back?

Welcome to the Spotify Community and thanks for posting your question here.

 

It'd be initially very helpful to double-check with your payment method provider whether the transaction for your yearly Premium subscription activation went effectively through.

 

Asking to double-check since the money transfer might have been authorized by your provider without having been properly delivered to Spotify.

 

If you double-checked and confirmed that you successfully purchased a Premium yearly subscription but are not able to display it by looking at the 'Your plan' box in your Spotify account overview, you might have activated the subscription on another Spotify account.

 

In this case, it'd be useful to take a look at this support site article and follow all the steps listed in it to see if you can find the Spotify account with the yearly subscription. 

 

Regarding the refund you mentioned, you can check this support site article to see how you can request one.
