My Question or Issue:
I paid for premium on june 1st and yesterday (23rd) got an email that my supscription was over and payment had failed. I paid for one month but only get 23 days, why is that? This keeps happening a lot, approximetly every month or every other month, I was under the impression that one month would be 30 days so it would renew approcimetly the 1st of every month since that is the date I get paid each month. It sucks to pay for one month and only get 3 weeks. Please fix this or let me know what I´m doing wrong!!!
Trust me trust me trust me when I say you're going to have to fight with them on the phone for at least 4 hours to figure anything out.
If you lost any money there's a possibility that you may be able to get an overdraft fee back however. . It's quite entertaining if you're in a bad mood to see how they come about explaining this because I don't remember what the heck they said all I know is that's all I know ...
but I love my Spotify so I figured something out to oh,, oh here's what you have to do you have to cancel your membership and then reenstate the day or something like the day after or the day before you want to be charged each month it's really confusing but I think that's it. purple to make sure you don't get charged at the end of the month and then at the beginning of the month which could be like one day after the next it's so stupid that's the thing I hate most.

Hey @margretinga.
Thanks for reaching out to us about this.
If you pay for a month of Premium, you should get 30 days of Premium.
The reason you might be seeing a premature charge on the 23rd of the month is because the previous payment (on the 1st of the month) was taken late.
In order to check your actual billing date, you can go to your account overview page here and see when your subscription should renew next.
Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further questions 😉
Hey @margretinga.
Thanks for getting back to us.
The payment was likely meant to be taken on the 23rd. This is the date on which your Premium started, so you are paying for the period 23 June - 23 July. The late payment does not affect the number of days of Premium you have. If everything is alright with your payment method, then your next payment should be taken regularly on 23 July.
Hope that clears things up! Let us know if you have any other questions 😉
Hey there @margretinga,
Thanks for keeping in touch.
No worries, we'll be happy to clear things up 🙂
It sounds like your billing date on Spotify is the 23rd of every month.
If a regular Spotify payment doesn’t go through on that usual renewal date, you’ll receive an email notification. We’ll keep trying to take the payment over the next few days and you won't immediately lose your subscription, meaning your account will still be on Premium while we try.
In this case, it could be that the regular payment on May 23rd didn't go through successfully and was taken on the 1st of June instead. During that time, your account should still be on Premium and your next billing date should still be the 23rd of June as usual. This way, you'd have enjoyed 30 days of Premium, from the 23rd of May to the 23rd of June, even thought you were charged on the 1st of June instead of the 23rd of May.
If you're having troubles with this billing date, you can always change it to a more convenient one by following the steps here. Keep in mind that you'll need to wait for your account to revert to Free first before updating again on your preferred date. This won't affect your playlists or saved songs, but you'll need to download them again once you're back to Premium.
Hope this helps further clarify things! If there's anything else we can help with, just give us a shout, we'll be happy to help.
Have a lovely day 🙂
