I have Spotify Free but am still able to skip any song and don't have ads

I recently downloaded the Spotify app to my phone (Galaxy S10E) and I have Spotify Free. I discovered I'm able to play and skip any song, on any playlist, album, or artist, even my Liked Songs, and I don't have ads. Is this a glitch or a new feature?

You don't have to enter any payment details in order to receive that trail. It's activated automatically when you create a new account. You also don't have to cancel that trial and you won't be charged after it ends, provided you haven't subscribe to a Premium offer in the meantime. 

The 7 Day Trial is also not considered as signing up for Premium, so you'll be able to enjoy the current trial offer after the 7 day passes if you want, but this time it will require entering your payment details.
