Did you mean to say that you were charged for the regular rate of Premium? Your student discount has most likely expired.

The discount is valid for up to 12 months from the date you subscribed. When the discount expires, your subscription automatically continues at the standard rate. You can go here for more info.

Hey @k897,

Regarding the refund you mentioned, it'd be good to take a look at this support site article (I have unexpected charges) to know more about how you can request one.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!

Hey Mario,

There's no option for refund or reimbursement, therefore I will need further assistance in this process.

Unfortunately, that link does not refund the charges. I've been a loyal Spotify user for too long, therefore I hope their customer service is up to standards now that I need assistance.

Hey @k897,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

To clarify, the get help here button in the I have unexpected charges section (featured in the support site article I shared) should redirect you to Unexpected charges, where you'll find More help > Overcharged for the student discount?.

Suggested that since this info will help you clarify your subscription situation and further assess whether you'd like to go ahead with a refund request (which, if granted, will result in having your subscription canceled).

If you're still determined to request a refund, feel free to get in touch with our folks in the Support team. You can do so by following the steps featured in the Write to us section here.

Hi Mario,

Thank you for your help.

With the links you've provided I'm not able to request a refund. I need to speak to somebody that can refund credit to my account for the overcharge from last month. This situation is a huge inconvenience. Spotify's "customer service" is inefficient and practically useless. I need a refund or I will take this to small claims out of principle. Disappointing to know that a corporation as successful as Spotify has no customer service representatives to CALL despite the billions they make annually. Awful method of customer service. Bad customer service will never prevail.

Hi there @k897,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Just jumping in here to confirm that we have no telephone support but you can write to the team here

Keep us posted!

The fact that I'm going through this much trouble just to contact the company speaks volumes (no pun intended). Your guy's lack of real solutions just shows your lack of potential. Switching to Apple Music. And I'll be sure to publish a blog over this
