Problems joining Duo Premium

Problems joining Duo Premium

I recently upgraded from a personal premium account to premium duo, so that I could add my boyfriend (who lives with me).
However, when he tried to join (from his basic spotify account) he received an error message saying that it was not possible to join from another country and that he should try again once we were living at the same address, despite the fact that he input the exact same address that I have.
My account is based in France, which I never changed when I moved to Belgium as I have a premium account. My boyfriend on the other hand has a belgian account - could this be the source of the problem, that our accounts are based in different countries, despite the fact that we input the same address for Premium Duo?
Is there any way around this?
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hey @ellieolmo ,

I think that's exactly the problem. Please try changing your country to the one you're currently in. That should solve the problem.

Here's some info on how to change your country 🙂

  1. With a free account, you can do this by visiting your account page here.
  2. Change your country and postcode.
  3. Click save profile

    1. If you got a premium account visit your subscription page at this link.
    2. Click update
    3. Click ...
    4. Then click Change Country and enter your payment method with a billing address.
    5. Then click change payment details.
    6. Now your country should have changed.
