My Question or Issue

Everytime I try to update my payment details so Spotify can renew my Premium sub, it keeps giving me something went wrong please try again later, and I've looked over every possible issue and my card doesn't meet any of the listed issues, it's made in the US, it has sufficient funds *Well over 100$ USD*, i've entered the CVV/CVC code correctly, and the card doesn't expire until 2024, any ideas or issues that are going on currently?

I'll be happy to help. 

First, if you just attempted to update your payment method and you're getting that error message, try a different browser or private window. If that doesn't help, let's wait 24 hours and try updating your payment method again (just in case there was a connection issue). 

 

After those 24 hours are up, make sure of the following:

  • Make sure the card is issued in the same country registered to your Spotify account.
  • Check to make sure the card isn't canceled or expired. 
  • Make sure that you're entering your payment details correctly, especially the 3 digit number on the back of the card (CVC/CVV security code)
  • Check your card and make sure that it allows foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. You can get in touch with your bank to make sure.
  • Your bank might request that you authorize the payment. 

 

Let me know how this goes and if everything I mentioned to check for is good to go.

Tried again after 24 hours, and with a private window and with Mozilla as my alternatives.. It gives me the same thing, the card goes through just fine on other apps like SoundCloud, Steam, and the App Store, anything that could be preventing me from paying?

In that case, I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support here. Explain to them what the issue is in some more detail, and they'll take a look and do their best to help.
