My Question or Issue

My girlfriend and I have been using Spotify Premium Duo for a while. We moved to the Netherlands recently, and I'm trying to update the payment method to a Dutch one, while keeping Premium Duo.

 

However, when I try to choose the plan, the website doesn't let me continue with the current plan after changing the country (see screenshot_1). On the payment page itself, once I switch the country, the plan is set to the default "Premium Individual" for one person (see screenshot_2). And if I click "change plan", I'm back to the first screenshot.

 

I think it might be a bug that doesn't let continue with the current plan when changing the country, but I'm not sure.

 

Could someone please help me switch the country and continue with the current plan? I tried all the usual things - another clean browser, another device, refreshing, choosing a different payment method, etc. I also changed my Duo address to my address in the Netherlands, but that did not help.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

 

Once that's done, you can subscribe to Premium Duo using your payment method that's been issued in the Netherlands at https://spotify.com/duo. Please note that you'll need to invite the other plan member again.

 

Instructions on how to cancel and how that affects your account can be found at https://support.spotify.com/article/cancel-premium/.
