Xbox Premium Trial

I have trying to use my 6 month trial that I received from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and it keeps saying that I’ve used a separate trial already. The account I’m using this on is brand new and has not started a premium trial at all, I’m in the US so I’m not sure what the issue is.

In that case, you're not eligible for this offer. This offer is only available to new users who haven't tried Premium in the past. There is more information on this in the terms and conditions of this offer here. Even if you have a new account, but if you've used the same payment method for Spotify's services - that still means you have tried Premium in the past.
