combining a single account and a family account

Hi,  my boyfriend is moving in, he pays for a single membership and I pay for a family membership for me and the kids.  How can I add him to my family account and him cancel his subscription without him lossing all his playlists?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Your boyfriend can use his existing account to join your Premium Family plan. That way he won't lose any playlists or follows and stats, it's just the subscription that changes. He just has to make sure to accept your invite with his current account and not create a new one, in order to keep his library. 

His billing switches automatically, so he doesn't need to cancel his current plan. Unless he has Premium with a partner (e.g phone or internet provider). In that case, he first need to cancel with them and wait for his current Premium to end.
