I left Pandora yesterday and joined the primium plan, and this morning i told my dsaughter and she told me about the family plan. My question is "If i join the family plan will spotify automatically upgrade my individual account or will i have 2 accounts?"

Your account's Premium plan will change to Premium for Family -- you can keep using the same account.

Your remaining Premium time will be converted into Premium for Family time. This can bring your payment date forward.
