September 2015 Ideas Review

Every month the Community Team reviews our Ideas Board and present the ones we’ve updated in the past 30 days.

We're here to take a look at the ideas we updated for you all in September. Curious what we implemented last year? Well check out our Yearly Ideas Review: 2014 here. 

WATCH THIS SPACE:

 

1. Add support for Google Chromecast. 

2 . Support Google Cast for Audio. 

In collaboration with Google, we’re thrilled to announce Spotify on Chromecast and Chromecast Audio. Spotify and Chromecast Now Play Together.

With Chromecast, listening at home is easy. Simply plug in and cast music directly from your phone or tablet. Play, skip, browse and search using the Spotify app. Oh, and feel free to make calls, watch a video or play games - the music will keep playing. Even if your battery runs out.

Spotify will be available on the new Chromecast. Existing devices should receive a firmware update in the coming weeks. We’ll mark this idea as "Implemented" when that has rolled out to everyone.

 

 

GOOD IDEA:

3. Allow rating/ like/ dislike on Discover items.

4. Allow user to set city for 'On Tour' features of artist page.

5. Album view under Artists in Your Music [iOS].

6. [Desktop] Improve Spotify's volume normalization.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMPLEMENTED:

7. Bring back importing playlists [Desktop].

We're happy to say that this feature returned in the Desktop udpate 1.0.13. Now you just hit File > Import Playlists. 

8. Sorting playlists [iOS].

UNDER CONSIDERATION:

9. Spotify Running available in offline mode. 

 

NOT RIGHT NOW:

 

10 . Visualise my usage stats.

 

11. Album cover instead of friend's profile pic [Friend Feed]

 

12. View previous Discover Weekly playlists.
