Adding personal playlists more efficiently

Adding personal playlists more efficiently

Plan: Premium

Country: USA

Device: Macbook Pro mid-2012

Operating System: Catalina Version 10.15.4

I have several old playlists/compilations that I created with my own CDs by converting them to mp3s. Some of these have anywhere from 70-150 songs in them, and I would like to know the best way to go about adding them. I used to be able to add the folder to my local library, create a new playlist in Spotify, and simply drag and drop them into the new playlist. Is there an easier way then having to search for every single song individually that Spotify has?

Hi there @ohheyslim,

thanks for reaching out !

If i understand correctly, you want to be able to add your private legal content to the app and check which tracks are already in the Spotify system out of these tracks ?

The "Local Files" features allow you to add your personal content, however it doesn't check if the files are already exists in the system.

Feel free to add this idea to the "Ideas" section of the community by following the steps provided here.

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you have further questions 🙂
