Can not remove song from playlist

Can not remove song from playlist

Hello,

I have a collaborative playlist. Two random persons added a song and a podcast episode. 

I can not remove those two items from the playlist. When I click "Remove from this playlist" in the 3-dot-context-menu, the animation shows the song/episode being removed and instantly being inserted again.

I did this on: 

- Pixel 6 / Android 12: 

- MacBook Pro (13 inch, M1, 2020) / MacOS 11.6.2: 

 

On mobile, I also tried to edit the playlist and remove songs from there. It then removes the song from the Editing-UI, but when I go back to the playlist, the songs are back there.

 

This only affects those two objects, which where added by users that have never added to that playlist before. Other songs can be removed from the playlist.

 

To me this seems like a bug. Have you encountered this behaviour before? What can I do to remove those songs?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We'd like so shed a light to why this is happening.

 

We can confirm that the way collaborative playlists work was changed recently. The playlist owner still has full control over the playlist and can add or remove tracks freely, but when it comes to collaborators, you can only remove the songs you've personally added. This is done to prevent the potential unwanted data loss within the playlist.
