My Issue
The queue button won't show up, and whenever I try to go to a specific song in my playlist and listen to it, it only plays a preview. I've tried logging out and back in, un-installing and reinstalling Spotify, clearing the cache, and restarting the phone, but it doesn't help. When I click on the icon for the playlist, it shows a short list of songs and artists (not in the order that they're on my playlist) and a link that says see more. Spotify works properly on the web browser for the computer, but I can't use it on the phone.

Hey @Sylvar-Blahk,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Could you let us know if you get ads while listening to music or podcasts (that contain music)?
Note that while Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, however, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. It's up to the podcast creators if they would like to have third-party advertising in their episodes. You can take a look at this Spotify answer for more info.
On another note, does this happen with multiple playlists or only with a specific one?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hey @Sylvar-Blahk,
Thanks for getting back to us and apologies for any confusion created on our end.
This is expected behavior for users that are using free mobile version of the Spotify app.
We'd suggest that you take a look at this article for more info.
Hope this helps. Take care 🙂

Hey @Sylvar-Blahk,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Community
Could you please test this with a different account? If a family member has a Spotify account, it'd be great to ask them to log in on your device to see if the app behaves the same way. This will help us understand if it's account related or not.
It's also a good idea to check with a different network connection to see if it makes any difference. In case you don't have another one available, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.
On another note, you've mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, however, we usually recommend doing that by following the steps in this article. This'll make sure you have the latest version of the app and that any corrupted files from previous installations files are removed.
Let us know how it goes. We'll be keeping an eye out for your reply.
Un-installing and reinstalling like that didn't work. Nobody else in my family uses Spotify, so they can't check if it would do the same for them. Also, before it started acting weird, I wasn't getting any ads, but now I am getting ads.

I don't listen to podcasts, but I have been getting ads between songs. Whenever I have Spotify open and playing through a device other than the phone, it will pull up the playlists just fine, but the moment I try to have the audio play through the phone it doesn't work properly. Using Spotify on any device other than the phone works just fine, but the phone won't.
Hey @Sylvar-Blahk,
Thanks for letting us know!
Could it be that you're logged in with another account on the mobile device?
You'd be getting ads if that account is using the free plan 🙂
This is easy to confirm - just go to the Home Tab -> Gear Icon (Settings) -> Premium Plan.
Your account and plan details will be displayed there!
Should this be the case, log out and then back in with the credentials you've used to log in on the other devices.
If not, then let us know and we'll do our best to get to the bottom of this!

I do not have another Spotify account, nor have i let anyone else log in on my Spotify. I am not sure if this is usual for free plan users, but I am getting 1-1.5 minutes of ads every 1-3 songs.

So, it's an issue with not having the same privileges across all platforms, not a glitch. Got it. Guess I'll just not use Spotify on the phone then...
