Cannot add collaborators to playlists

Cannot add collaborators to playlists

I am trying to invite a collaborator on a few of our playlists as our page has grown and I need more curators to be able to access and edit the playlists (without signing in to the same account).

After following all support documentation and help topics online, we were unable to get the collaborator on the playlist. I'll provide more detailed information and the steps we took below:

1) Collaborator favorited playlist

2) 24 HR invite link was sent to collaborator

3) Collaborator opened link on mobile (Android) which opened the Spotify app directly

Afterwards, the collaborator was still unable to edit/add songs to the playlist and they don't show up at all on the playlist details from the owner end. We attempted several playlists to the same result. Any help would be huge! I usually don't post in support threads however all other support docs did not assist in the matter.

Hi there @eastrockent,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

We get that you're experiencing some difficulties when inviting collaborators to some of your playlists. From the steps you've described it should have worked, however we cannot be sure if you've used the right type of link when inviting the collaborator. Make sure you select 'Invite collaborators' and not copying a regular share link. You can doublecheck the steps about adding or removing collaborators here.

On another note, could you share with us the version of Spotify you're currently using. If the issue persists consistently for you and your collaborators, could you possibly provide us with a short video recording of what happens for both the owner and a collaborator, so we can take a closer look and try replicate and investigate the situation. You can send a link to it or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
