Daily Mix Content Outdated Bug

Daily Mix Content Outdated Bug

Hi,

On the home page for daily mixes, it'll say some of the artists featured in the playlist. However, when I click play (without going to the playlist), it starts playing music clearly from a different genre, perhaps with cached values from the previous daily mix for that same numbered playlist, e.g. 'Daily Mix 2'.

When I click into the playlist, the playlist is then refreshed with the relevant music/artists. I verified this by looking for the song that was first playing (presumably from outdated values), and it does not appear in the refreshed playlist.

Just wanted to bring this to attention in case the team is unaware.

Hi @alan20854,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! Apologies for the late reply, I just came by your post.

Interesting. Are you still able to reproduce this behavior? A short screen recording which captures it in action would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already, try logging out and signing back to your account twice in a row as it triggers an internal refresh of the app that may help here. It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.

Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

Hey Yordan,

Sorry I just got around to it but here's a screenshot recording of the issue.

Hey @alan20854,

Thanks for the video recording you kindly sent us.

In this case, if you haven't yet, we'd suggest you reinstall the app on the affected device, as mentioned by @Yordan above. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the affected device, along with the Spotify version you're running there?

Lastly, and just to confirm, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event, such as a OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

Keep us in the loop!
