My Question or Issue


I have set my downloads on wifi only because it’s very data hungry to download all the daily mix everyday. I travel into remote area where there’s no cell service or data or wifi. I rely on the daily mix to be downloaded on wifi over a couple days. 

The problem is that when I open Spotify while on cellular Data, I find my daily mixes playlists has removed downloaded songs. The icon for downloads is spinning and on the songs an arrow ⬇️ is showing instead of the checkmark . Of course nothing is downloading because there’s no wifi and I can’t download anything because I don’t have enough data on my plan. So I’m stuck with almost no music. This happens every time I open the app on cellular and very annoying. 

Solution would be to prevent the refresh of the playlists while on cellular when the “download only on wifi” is selected. 

Please Help!

Sorry to see this has been happening to you!

Your solution is actually not a bad one! If you'd like to see such a change in the app settings, I'd suggest posting an Idea about it!

Once it gathers enough +Votes, it will get looked into by the internal folks at Spotify!

I tried to submit an idea but it tells me I have to correct highlighted errors but nothing is highlighted. 

Hey @Diogenes14,

 

Can you please try again using a desktop device (or enable "Use desktop version" from your browser settings) and check if the error is highlighted?
