My Question or Issue
About a week ago all the "Date added" dates in my favourite songs playlist were somehow reset thus rendering the whole playlist impossible to sort by "Date added".
I have been adding songs constantly to that playlist for over a decade (1700+ songs) and now I can't sort it by date added any more because all the songs have the same data.
Songs I added since in the last week show up with the right time stamp.
Is there a way to get the right "Date added" back or is it forever broken?
I've reinstalled on all my devices but no luck.
Would really like to have the correct "Date added" time stamps back as they should be.
Thanks!
Hey @sprattlas,
Sorry to see this has been going on. Surely there must be a way to fix it 🙂
Could you let us know on which devices this is present on? Is the same behavior observed when you open the web player?
If all looks well on the web player, try performing a manual sync of your settings by logging out of the app and back in twice in a row.
In case the 'date added' metric is off on the web player as well, let us know and we'll take a further look into what can be done 🙌🏼
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi @Vasil!
Thanks for reaching out. I just had a look at the web player again and the 'date added' metric is still off. I have the same 'date added' times on all my devices, different web players and iPhones.
Really hoping this can be solved!
Looking forward to hear about what you find and a solution.
Thanks!
I have the same problem, ALL MY PLAYLIST have the same added date which is September 24th 2023, it's the same on mobile (android), desktop (win10) and web. please fix it because i listen my songs by date added and now it's basically shuffle
Hey @sprattlas,
Thank you for the info shared.
This is a weird case, but we'll be investigating further backstage. However, we need your permission to pass your info to the relevant team. Is it ok for you if we share this info internally?
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi @OscarDC!
Yeah, it’s ok! I just want this to be resolved ☺️
just do what ever you need to do 👍
Looking forward to hear what you found.
Hey @sprattlas,
Thanks for the patience while we investigated the reasons behind this experience.
Have you used any 3rd party library transferring tools recently? If so, this is the reason why the dates have been all set to the same one. It is currently not possible to revert this.
Hope this clears things a bit.
Cheers!
