Discover weekly

Discover weekly

Over the two years my music tastes have changed a lot. However my discover weekly is giving me the same genre of music, I've done everything I can to change it but nothing works, even going through and pressing "don't play this" for my entire discover weekly mix.

Hi there @florrp,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

The more you use Spotify, the better the playlists made for you become.

You can also tell us what you like and what you don’t like:

  • Tap  in the Now Playing view to like a song, which automatically saves it to your Liked Songs playlist Your Library.
  • Tap  in the Now Playing view to remove it and we’ll remember for next time.

Let us know how everything works.

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I nearly exclusively use the liked songs playlist and since I play music at work I'm listening to 7-8 hours of music a day with no change to my discover weekly

Hi @florrp,

Thank you for posting on this thread!

Let us know if you've already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

Also, do you usually activate the Private Listening feature? If you do, remember that this tends to affect the personalized recommendations.

Please take into account that Discover Weekly updates every Monday, so please let us know if you notice any change by then.

We'll be on the lookout.
